Whelped on 1/2/1999, Tobi was one of a litter bred by Trevor Rogers, of Victoria & Candice Harris of Idaho USA, from the only American & Australian Champion Keeshond.

 

He was the smallest, last-born and “least likely to,” but I fell in love with him. When the time came Trevor did me the honour of letting me take him home, just to see how he developed. The rest as they say, is history. 

 

Due to my husbands’ serious illness, I have been unable to attend shows for many weeks and only sporadically for some time before that. It is fitting therefore, that Trevor was handling Tobi, when he gained his Grand title with Best In Group, under Ms G Alexander, then BEST IN SHOW under Mrs B Pontin.

 

Though not what you would call a world-beater, Tobi has always been consistent, with a Best In Show, multi Runner Up In Shows, Best In Groups, Classes In Group and Show and countless sweepstakes wins.

His career highlights so far are Puppy In Group 7 at Royal Adelaide Show in 1999 and Best In Specialty Show under an International Judge in 2002 and of course Grand Champion in 2005.

 

Heartfelt thanks to Trevor & Cheri, Leanne & Michael, Phyllis, Clarrie & all my dog show friends for their support and encouragement through the hard times and for sharing the good times.

 

Special thanks to the international judges and those from all states of Australia for awarding Tobi so consistently, especially when it occasionally meant looking beyond his sheer enthusiasm to find the real dog.
